Dr. Amr Awadallah is the CEO and co-founder of Vectara, a company enabling organizations to leverage Trusted GenAI to create AI agents and assistants for business applications while minimizing risks from hallucinations, security leaks, bias, copyright infringement, and intellectual property pollution.
Previously, Amr served as VP of Developer Relations for Google Cloud. Before joining Google in November 2019, he co-founded Cloudera in 2008, where as Global CTO, he spent 11 years closely collaborating with enterprises worldwide on how to ingest and extract value from big data. From 2000 to 2008, Amr also held the position of vice president of product intelligence engineering at Yahoo! He joined Yahoo! after they acquired his first startup, Aptivia, in mid-2000, which was a search engine for online product information.
