Financial Post reported that TechCon Global revealed the eight startups selected to compete in Quarterfinal 1 of the TechCon SoCal 2026 Startup Innovation Showcase, a key step in the multi-stage competition ahead of the main event at San Diego State University in May 2026. The Quarterfinal 1 Pitch Event is scheduled for January 29, 2026 at Kiln – Rancho Bernardo, where founders will present their ventures to investors and ecosystem leaders in a hybrid format with virtual pitches and in-person judging. Shortlisted companies include innovators in AI-powered disability claims automation, educational robotics, SaaS compliance tools, climate-tech efficiency systems, cognitive wearable tech, autonomous inspection robotics, AI medical diagnostics, and biotech cancer therapies — representing a range of high-growth fields. An expert selection committee composed of seasoned investors and industry operators evaluated entries to identify startups with strong innovation potential and scalability. As part of the Showcase roadmap, teams will compete through additional rounds with the opportunity to advance toward the Final Pitch Event and wider exposure within the global investor community.
