Amar Maletira is a growth-oriented, transformation-focused technology executive with more than 25 years of experience leading global, publicly listed companies through critical inflection points. He combines strategic clarity, operational rigor, and capital discipline with a hands-on, execution-driven leadership style focused on value creation and strong team alignment.
Most recently, Amar served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Rackspace Technology (NASDAQ: RXT), a $2.7B global hybrid cloud and AI solutions company. As CEO and previously President, he led a multi-year transformation that repositioned the business toward higher-growth offerings, an enterprise- and vertical-focused go-to-market model, and a scaled AI platform, while strengthening operating discipline and execution.
Prior to Rackspace, Amar held senior leadership roles at Viavi Solutions (NASDAQ: VIAV) and Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), where he led portfolio-shaping initiatives, acquisitions, and large-scale global transformations. He began his career in sales at HCL and Siemens, building a strong commercial foundation that continues to inform his customer-centric leadership approach.
Amar currently serves on the Board of Directors of Celestica Inc. (NYSE: CLS), where he chairs the Audit Committee. He holds a BS in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Karnataka University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
