Matt Siegler is the Chief Network Officer at Akido, leading the organization’s clinical operation across the country. Matt helps Akido bring AI powered care to hundreds of thousands of patients around the country through its medical groups, IPAs, and street medicine programs.

Previously Matt served as the Chief Growth and Strategy Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals, the nation’s largest public hospital system, and as the CEO of the HHC Accountable Care Organization. At H+H Matt oversaw the system’s $13b budget with a focus on revenue generating initiatives and value based care. He also led a variety of operational areas for the health system including real estate, housing, and transportation and served as the executive sponsor for facilities development, capital planning, and home and community based care. Since joining 2018, Mr. Siegler led the health system’s financial turnaround, eliminating a $1.8b structural deficit, growing patient care revenue by over $2.6b annually, while deepening the system’s commitment to value based care and addressing the health related social needs of its patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Siegler helped lead capacity expansion and level loading efforts that moved over 2,500 patients between the system’s facilities and tripled the system’s ICU capacity.

Before joining NYC Health + Hospitals, Matt worked in strategy and operational roles at Kaiser Permanente, where he focused on implementation of the Affordable Care Act in the individual market and large group growth strategies. He began his career in Washington DC, working on the White House Domestic Policy Council, the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the staff of Congressman Henry Waxman.
