
Atiq Raza has served on the Boards of Directors of over 40 companies across various technology domains, including 8 public companies. He was the founder and CEO of NexGen, the first company to match the highest performance x86 processor, which went public in 1995 and merged with AMD in January 1996. Atiq then served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. from January 1996 to October 1999. Mr. Raza started two more companies, VxTel, which was acquired by Intel, and RMI, which was acquired by NetLogic. His current board positions include Liquid.ai, Minds.ai, ArterisIP, WeeBit Nano, KlearNow.ai, Peernova, and others. Atiq served on the Advisory Council of Stanford University School of Engineering for a decade. Atiq was inducted into the Computer History Museum in 2025, where his life story was preserved as a permanent record. Atiq Raza holds a BS (Hon) in Physics from the University of the Punjab in Lahore, a BS (Hon) in Electronic Engineering from the University of London, United Kingdom, and an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
