Augustin Sayer is an SF-based venture capital investor and co-founder of OVNI Capital, a deep tech-focused seed fund established in 2022 with offices in Paris and San Francisco. The firm invests in pre-seed and seed-stage transatlantic startups in AI, cybersecurity, quantum computing, energy, and fintech, managing $70 million in assets.
Prior to launching OVNI, he was a Partner at Newfund Capital, a transatlantic early stage VC and before. There he oversaw over 20 investments, including FairMoney and Umiami. Sayer started his career as a trader at Hedge Fund Lomas Capital.
Sayer enjoys writing about deeptech and authored the book “From Zero to Deep,” analyzing innovations in companies like SpaceX and Tesla.
