Sibyl Chen is the General Manager at Berkeley SkyDeck, UC Berkeley’s tech accelerator. In her role, Sibyl oversees the overall operation of the accelerator as well as the programming for the startups. During her 7 years at SkyDeck, 1,650 startups have gone through the program, and she has expanded the advisor network from 100 to over 900 people.
Sibyl previously worked at Matterport, where she helped launch the media and entertainment division and later worked on the marketing team. Prior to that worked as an entrepreneur and ran two companies, a food tech startup and a movie production company. Sibyl worked in the film and entertainment industry in the early part of her career, spending several years at the two large talent agencies, Creative Artists Agency and William Morris Entertainment. At CAA, she worked in packaging, financing, and distributing independent films. Sibyl received her B.A. from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins.
